Jesus spoke these words when Hill sermon to a crowd of people who had never heard anyone speak with such authority and simplicity.
It is striking that, even today, this text impacts our heart, because each of us are light in the midst of a society corrupted by the evil darkness, namely: violence, dishonesty, bribery, exploitation, lack of ethics in relationships social and business, among many other ills that darkness is considered.
Be light is to walk in integrity of life before God and men. Who has the light of God itself has the Spirit of God, for Jesus said, I am the light of the world (John 9: 5). Now, if we have God's light effectively we are light in the world that shines in us, through attitudes of love, joy, peace, longaminidade, gentleness, goodness, faith, meekness and temperance. (Galatians 5:22)
Beloved, if the light that shines in you is the light of Jesus, then show the world and give testimony to glorify God with his righteous attitudes.
Remember: God is good and His love endures forever.
